Heating & Safety

Q. How do I heat my microwaveable product?

A. Our microwaveable products have removable inner bags, which contain grain, either wheat or flax, infused with pure essential oils or lavender leaf. To warm, remove the insert and heat in your microwave for 30 seconds to 1½ minutes (refer to instructions on product packaging or the relevant product page on this site – times vary for each product).

To ensure the grain remains moist and effective, we recommend that you place a small cup of water in the microwave when you heat your inner bag.

Q. Are your products safe for children?

A. Yes, although we do not recommend them for children under 3 years old.

Q. Is it safe to microwave your products?

A. Yes. All microwaveable products conform to the stringent BS8433 standard. Our animal hotties also comply with the European EN71 standard and the US standard ASTM F963-08 for children’s toys.

Q. I overheated my inner and now it smells funny, can I get a replacement?

A. Yes, of course you can! Please click here to access the page to purchase a spare inner. Please make sure you take care when heating, follow the instructions on the packaging.

Q. How long do your products stay warm?

A. It depends on the size of your product’s heatable inner, and how you use it. For example, a body warmer used in bed should stay warm for up to an hour, while the smaller Hot Hug inners will retain warmth for about 20-30 minutes.

Q. Can I use my product as a cooling pack?

A. Yes you can. Place the wrap in a sealed plastic bag and put it in the freezer for a few hours! Please note, the scent won't be as strong as when it's heated.

Aromatherapy

Q. What are the benefits of various oils & aromas?

A. We do not make any medical claims for the oils or lavender leaf we use – we simply recommend you choose the aroma you enjoy the most. However, we do recommend you seek medical advice if you plan to use any essential oil product during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.

Q. Can I refresh the essential oil fragrance of my wheat bag?

A. Yes. Simply add a few drops of essential oil to the wheat-filled inner bag.

Q. Can I buy replacement inner bags?

Q. How long does the fragrance last?

A. Pure essential oils will fade with time and heating. Lavender leaf lasts longer and you just need to scrunch up the product to reinvigorate the leaf.

Q. How long does it take to process my order?

A. We generally process orders in 1-2 business days. You will receive a notification email when your order ships.

Q. What shipping method is used to ship my order?

A. During the checkout process you can select the method of shipping you want, ranging from overnight to Parcel Post, it's up to you!

Q. I'd like to return or exchange my product, how do I do this?

A. We accept returns of unused items within 14 days of purchase. To initiate a return, please contact us via the Contact page. We aren't able to refund shipping costs at this time. Please make sure to include your order number and a copy of your packing slip in the box with the item.

Q. What sizes do your slippers come in?

A. All our adult footwear comes in one size, which will fit up to a US ladies size 9 and our children’s footwear will fit up to a US size 2.

Q. How should I store my Aroma Home product?

A. For best results, we recommend you store your product in its original box after use.

Q. Is my Aroma Home product washable?

A. Please follow the care instructions on the product label.
